Employees Celebrate Season of Thanks and GivingPosted on November 24, 2010 by admin
Fried turkey, casseroles, and desserts filled the room as over 120 staff members gathered for fun, fellowship and most of all…FOOD! This year, the employees celebrated more than just a feast of thanks, but a season of giving as well.
SRC Electrical, (formally Megavolt,) and Guildmaster (formally Decorize and a sister company to Electrical,) sponsors an orphanage in Indonesia near Mount Merapi. This orphanage was greatly affected by the volcano’s recent eruption and is now being converted into a displaced personnel camp of 1,000 people. Vic Karode, Guildmaster, stated, “There are a lot of evacuees in the area and the supplies are very limited.” The administrators of the orphanage contacted Guildmaster and SRC Electrical for help as many people were in major need of food, clothing and basic necessities.
At last week’s staff meeting, SRC Electrical’s General Manager, Tim Roth announced the concern and suggested donations from the employees if possible. SRC Electrical gave over $550.00 and approximately $6,000 was donated between all Springfield Remanufacturing Corporation divisions.
Karode stated, “Our employees in Indonesia also very much appreciate the generosity of Guildmaster’s sister companies for all the support. It is these kinds of gestures, that make them proud of working with us and where they risk their lives in ash covered cities to come to work without missing a beat.”
If you would like to give a donation to the Merapi victims, please contact Emily Laurie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the staff of SRC Electrical, we would like to wish all of our wonderful customers a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
We appreciate your business and friendships.
