Employee Owners Celebrate OSHA’s VPP Recognition with Community LeadersPosted on August 28, 2013 by admin
On August 1, 2013 The Employee Owners at SRC Electrical had the honor of being recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration as a VPP Star Site. VPP Star recognition is the highest level of recognition in the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program and an honor held by only a select few employers, including one of the other divisions of our corporation. Through the VPP program OSHA recognizes work sites for achieving excellence in their safety and health programs through cooperation among labor, management, and the government.
The Employee Owners at SRC Electrical have worked very diligently toward this goal for many years and are now being recognized for their hard work. To celebrate this great achievement they hosted a ceremony and luncheon, during which they received thier VPP Star Award from Barbara Theriot, Area Director OSHA Kansas City Area Office and then proudly raise thier cherished VPP flag.
This was a very exciting time for the Employee Owners at SRC Electrical, and they were joined by CEO, Jack Stack as well as state and local dignitaries including Debora Biggs – Executive Director Safety Council of the Ozarks, Bob Stephens -Mayor of Springfield, Roseann Bentley – Greene County Commissioner, Jered Taylor – Representative for MO Representative Billy Long, and Dan Wadlington – Representative for MO Senator Roy Blunt.
